ok, im STILL having problems. I dont know what it is, and its hard to explain. Im gettin a shake when driving, it seems more when I let go of the gas or when im slowing down. When i jack up the car, I can wobble the tire.. I just replaced the wheel baring, and im still getting the same thing.
My dad thinks maybe the tierod.. I have no idea anymore, besides just keep replacing parts is there any good ways to check ? My guess from this statment i found on the net "If you grab it in the 12 and 6 o'clock positions, you are typically checking for play in wheel bearings and ball joints. If you grab it in the 9 and 3 o'clock positions you are typically checking for tie rod ends or wheel bearings. But you are not totally limited to these although the most common" Its the ball joint. Has any one had to replace there ball joint? I would liek to know how there car road before hand. This post has been edited by Digndoug: Oct 7, 2005 - 5:36 PM |

I noticed that with low-profile tires the steering wheel shakes a lot too! I dunno, if its the tires or not, but I can feel every bump, pebble and even crack in the road.
Driving on dirt road is like road kill. |
