 Problem w/ spark plug removal, the wire set |

The spark plug wire set is not allowing me to get the spark plugs out. The thick part that actual goes over the plugs all popped off. They are all stuck ontop of the plugs. How in the world am I suppose to get them off? I've taken a long screw driver and tried to get them up as well as used the wire set itself to try to pull back up. Please help, is there a special tool for this problem or some type of technique. I've already tried our long needle nose but they wont open up in the small area. Thanks

the spark plug isnt what i cant get out right now, its the rubber part of the wires stuck ontop of the plug because they broke off whichi is my problem. thanks though, and i've tried the long set of needle nose, they wont open up.....this is a big pain in the butt
