Hi 6gc.net crowd....
I have a 206K mile engine, and i'm wanting to install a turbo...my questions are: - -would it tear the existing engine up? (or cause any harm?) ...The car has been well cared for and kept current on repairs by pro mechanics... - -is it possible to install it myself? (i've built a Caterham Lotus 7 kit car...but that had detailed instructions)...basically is the turbo a tricky install? ***let me know what you think*** -------------------- Past: V6 Swapped 6G Celica, E46 BMW M3, Jeep Wrangler TJ

My guess is, your engine is warn enough that it would just cause you problem after problem. Swap in a 3s-gte.. That will give you a low milage engine, as well as all the components needed..
Not what you want to hear... but surley not worth doing in that high of milage engine. |
