I just bought 2 12' JBL and i need help mounting my subs so they dont move around.. I have takin out my spare b/c of the extra weight and i need something to cover the trunk to put the subs on. I was thinkin bout getting some plywood and fitting it into the trunk. If anyone has done this or think you could help please post. thanks!

the reason for removing the spare is for wieght reduction but your talking about adding pieces of wood (last time I checked it was kinda heavy, especially plywood) and also audio systems are not really for race cars, so wieght reduction really should not be a problem in the first place, I hate that stupid CR@P in F&F that all there cars have all this custom stuff in them that would just add wieght, especially Vin Diesel's RX with the custom seat with the flip open for the NOS (also leather is alot heavier then cloth) the motor that made his nos switch pop out from the hazard button, and not to mention is stereo components that took up almost the back half of the car!!!
Anyways instead of getting wood just put the tire back in! unless you have a race to go to, in which case take your subs out also! |
