Please forgive the newbe questions here. I have become very interested in the ST-204 hatch and would like to know:
1. How do you identify a car originally sold in CA. My concern is the more restrictive emissions controls on the car. 2. How to identify if the factory sport suspension option went onto a particular car. I am looking at southern region 1999 cars so the struts should still be fine given anything like normal driving. I own a clean '94 Vigor but would like something lighter on its feet. My mild tuning plan would include a JDM GT rear strut brace, TRD front strut brace, header, and true cold air intake. That ought to be enough for me...assuming I can find the car I'd like to own Thanks |

QUOTE(95CelicaST @ Oct 20, 2005 - 2:17 PM) a true cold air intake is going to be pretty tough to come by on a GT. I don't think anyone makes them, so you are stuck making your own. The same goes for the header. No one really makes them anymore. You can always pay lots of money to have a shop custom make some.. TRD discontinued their strut brace, but C-One and Cusco make some... pricier though. Dude, you need to stop saying things when you don't know the trueth. Making your own CAI is really easy. I will never buy a CAI, it's just too cheap and easy to make your own. As far as header options for the car, there are a few. If it's an ST, there are a good deal of option with Corolla headers slitely modified. For GT, which I know more about sence I have one, have a good many options. The only one that bolts up is from Hotshot. It costs a lot though, and again, it's just easier to make your own. For strut braces, a 95-99 front will bolt up to the Celica. It has to be the full circle one, and you'll need to drill 2 more holes in it to make it work, but it leaves plenty of choices for you. The rear GT-4 is a great option. I have it, and I love it. You might want to consider suspension tec sway bars as another one of your mods. Everyone who has them, swears by them. If you don't get a header, custom 2.25 inch madril bent piping is a good idea. Check around the forums and see what you find. There's plenty to do if you really want to do it. -------------------- Live Free, Be Happy

Please read before you decide to try and go all guru because it isn't impressive. I also said I wasn't sure about the header.. so again.. not impressing anyone. So, sir. I believe you need to pull your head from out your A$$ and (this is the hard part) shut it. -------------------- 1991 MR2 - T-tops - Crimson Red - Gen3 3SGTE - Lots of money
