Tons can be done to the Celica to iprove its performance but that's with a price. Everywere you go you see some Civic with an exhaust or any other upgrade, but it is hard to find the fixed up Celica. Not that many around my way and that makes it much better I think but at the same time worse. It's harder to find upgrades for our Celicas than it is for our rival Civic.

QUOTE (94TRDCeli @ May 22, 2003 - 11:30 PM)
we got something that requires 5000 bucks to swap in not to mention other costs my friend has an 99 Civic Si that can outrun the new lancer granted he has put a ****load of money into it but he didnt have to swap engines..or anything he just bought parts for it and look how fast it is now with minimal effore of searching i just wish we had more parts available to us

What mods do your friend with the SI have?

Do ya'll think 5G is worth the money? I think so. Assuming 4G for 6GC(94-95-96+ w/high mileage) plus 5G totalling up to 9G for a race ready car starting @255(?not sure)hp AWD/??. AWD will give you a good head start launch(if i'm correct on this). With the setup done you can then start getting custom parts. Believe me you'll be surprised that homedepot/orchard supplies have quite a few things that you could make in place of name brand performance items.

I believe that our 6GC is capable of hitting at least 13s with the 3S-GTE swap with minor mods. In my opinion, money ain't a thing when it comes to uniqueness. It is a type of item that can be restored over time. And time can buy you your pleasures. Even though it may take awhile, what's more important? money or rare/good/priceless items that can be bought with money?
