ok...before anybody says anything i already searched and didnt quite find what Im looking for.
What i wanted to know is, how did the guys at burien toyota get their 5sfe motor to run at an everyday 14psi. Im going to go through with turboing my 5sfe, buying parts slowly here and there, but Im reading on and on, and I wanted to know if theres any way to get a bigger turbo, even if it means upgrading internals. What do I have to do to get the absolute most out of my 5sfe. Also I dont want to swap to a 3sgte, and for pressure, and all others, did the bigger injectors really make a difference in power(which ones)?? |

ok this kinda stuff bothers me ,, people allways saying that the 5s is no good to make power , i have heard of people spendign 5 grand to make the 2nd gen 3s work and they are closer to 200 horse well if the 5 s is making that with a turbo only and no internals ort head work whats to say that the 300 horse isnt obtainable with internals and head work , yes the 5s is not designed for power but i think with some port and poilshing it can do allright ,, i my self have been working on the 5s so far havign block bore and honed and fitted with 8.5-1 ross pistons , spent lots of time on the head with porting and smoothing things out , rod of choice are probbly gunna be cryo treated stock with arps , Cant see spending over 600 on rods for a four cylinder,, i personally like doing things differernt the others as far as saying ,,{ hey i wanna go fast , i will just swap like everyone else,,,,,,} not how i look at it , is it more reliable to swap , yes , is it easier,, yes ,, is it original , no ,,,,, ok i will stop its been a bad day , just venting as far as the 5s power makign goes we well see if i dont brake at least 250 then it will all be for nothing ,, but at lest i tried and thats what matters to me and i will still be a far cry from 5000 to get it done

With how much money i've spent so far the swap would have been a little cheaper and still had money for a few bolt ons. But i chose this path because not many do only one on here is frotou but he did it for show im all for go and some show. Furthermore you will be spending alot more money than you think the little things add up This post has been edited by nik: Oct 27, 2005 - 4:06 PM -------------------- yea your 3sgte is cool but ill stick to my 7agte
