 how to install speakers, i need help bad!!!! |

i just baught new alpine speaker for my car but having a hard time installing it... the front door stock speakers are 6 3/4 but the 6 1/2 works but they dont fit onto the speaker holder.......what do i do

What type of modifications does it need? I'm just wondering because i bought 6.5" speakers too and i need an adapter.
