elvasoshexai, i painted my dash, inserts, speaker covers, the peice surrounding my window switches, and the top of my ash tray, its daily driven, and the only thing thats happened to it was when i was installing it again my gf scratched some paint that wasnt cured fully. If you do alot of layers, and a few good coats of clear coat it wont chip. My friend did his inteiror and did like 15 layers of paint n clear and he can take a key across it and it leaves a minor scartch.
Plus i think painting the interior is cheaper. I paid like $20 or so for the paint and clear coat and did all of my dash inserts, speaker gaurds in the back, shock covers in the trunk. |
