just wondering how the 7A-FE would handle a 50 shot or so.

ok, just to explain:
I've done the work myself with a friend of mine who is a mechanic. you can lower the head of 6/10 of millimeter without having valves touching th pistons. I paied nothing to do the job to the head, including P&P. In Italy we have 98 octane fuel at pump stations and I use it and have no pre-ignition problems. In a few days Iìm going to a MSD ignition and Denso iridium plugs to manage it better. x Kwanza: you can have adj sprockets, OBX make it but is hard to have....anyway you can have one custom made....a friend of mine got it for just 50 bucks...the use your original external part of the gear, where the timing belt is on and rebuil with ergal parts the gear interior to make it adjustable.
