for the past few months i've been playing with the backlighting on the climate contorl unit allot.

i think i found the best way to do it by making your own twist-in LEDs using the toyota bases and autolumination num74 LEDs.

after you insert them in, and get the polarity right the top one needs to be bent to the side to light up the top button row. and the ac light is really too dim (might be able to file down the side of the LED to get it's focus split though). but overall it's a very non-destructive way to do the cc unit and it looks pretty good.

Oh. The autolumination 74 bulbs have the resistors built into them.

As far as pics go, I don't have any of the work that I did 'cause it wasn't to professional. I'm going to be opening it up again soon to do a few other tweeks so maybe I'll take some pics then.
