I have a 1994 celica st automatic. as soon as i saw the car i fell in love with it.
So after i bought it the engine is just over all past its due. So i thought about getting rid of it but the i started to do a bunch of resarch and i wanted to get a 3s-gte 3rd generation jdm swaped into it. I know all about the swap, its very indepth with all the wirring issues and motormounts. but i want to know will the 6 grand or so that i put into it be worth it? i mean with complacations later down the road with the swap and stuff.I really like this car and i want to hang on to it i am thinking the 3rd gen 3s-gte is the best way

so if you could please give feedback that would be great.

oh yeah i do know about the conversion from auto to manual (about a grand)

Personally, I always suggest that people have a second car if they're going to modify a car. You can pick up a decent Tercel to beat around in for less than $1000, and insurance is dirt cheap. (Plus the mileage rocks). Then if you have complications you don't have to worry.

When doing an engine swap, you can certainly end up with a very reliable car, but there are always bugs that need to be worked out. Plus, you need to really pay attention to your new engine to make sure it's running right... you need to be in tune with your car.

That said, go for it smile.gif
