I have a 1994 celica st automatic. as soon as i saw the car i fell in love with it.
So after i bought it the engine is just over all past its due. So i thought about getting rid of it but the i started to do a bunch of resarch and i wanted to get a 3s-gte 3rd generation jdm swaped into it. I know all about the swap, its very indepth with all the wirring issues and motormounts. but i want to know will the 6 grand or so that i put into it be worth it? i mean with complacations later down the road with the swap and stuff.I really like this car and i want to hang on to it i am thinking the 3rd gen 3s-gte is the best way

so if you could please give feedback that would be great.

oh yeah i do know about the conversion from auto to manual (about a grand)

Hawkins Corp... the "is it worth it" question really depends on how much you love your car and how much you have done to it already. if your car is mostly stock, and you think you might want something rwd, awd, a supra, etc...in the next year or two, then dont bother doing anything .

on the other hand, if you really love your car, have big plans for it, and want to keep it forever, then swap it.

was it worth it for me ? oh my god yes! i love my car more now then i ever did before when it was na. the power differece is pretty amazing. you going from getting smoked by old ladies in their v6 caddy to having the power to compete with 30,000$ sports cars.

for me it was an easy choice because i had a lot of mods done my car already ..... but if my car was stock, then i probably would have just traded it for something that was already factory turbo . so look at all your options before u decide on anything

that's exactly my argument, just didn't want to type that much out lol. I figure that by the time I put money into the swap, and took the time to do it, I will be graduated from college and married and drawin in some goood money. So I'll buy myself a 350z and restore some old car or somethin
