when i turn my heat on (climate controls inside car) it makes awful noises, kinda like a leaf stuck in the fan, i don't think that's the issue, but what else could it be.... anything expensive? i'm going on a trip this weekend (only a 2 hour drive) but i don't want to be cold the whole way!! is it something i could fix myself? Where is the fan located, somewhere easy to access?? hopefully... thanks in advance guys!

the fan is located behind/under the glove box. you have to remove the glove box to access the fan motor. it's mounted with some screws and is easy to exchange.
i've already had the same problem with two celicas. both motors became very noisy and i exchanged them with used parts from ebay. 5th-gen fans also fit (and probably some other models) only the electric connector is a little different. but that can be fixed very easily
