OH GAWD u guys wont belive what happened this weekend!!, COPS BUST STREET RACING AND IM AN INNOCENT BYSTANDER Options

whats up guys... Well i was minding my own business (ok so i was watching street racing earlier) but we were all in the parking lot and one cop pulls up behind this souped up corvette (that was racing) and a mustang. my friend gets out and asks the cop if everything is okay...he says give me a minute... i say uh oh... he's calling in backup...5 minutes later 2 more cops pull up, one of them is the one who chased everyone away from the racing spot. they start taking liscence plate numbers...including mine... I STARTED TO TALK S**T to the cop but they didnt ticket me for expired tags. and he was nice to me so i held my tounge... he asked me if i knew anything about the racing up the street and they would start taking cars if they saw us again... the whole time im lookin at him like i dont know what he's talking about (which i sorta did) but i wasnt over there at the time so now i cant watch anymore races! do you guys think my rights were violated? i need some opinions.

by the way sorry for the long post...just needed to vent.

In Ontario and Quebec, if u witness a crime(ie street racing), and u dont report it, you can be charged. Aswell as if u go 2 a street race and ur just standin on the sidelines watchin, you are automaticly considered part of the event. My buddy was up at wasaga beach(bigges fresh water beach in the world, and a great party town in the summer) and he was in a parkin lot in his S14 duin doughnuts around these 3 chicks. Cops came out of no where and busted them. My buddy took off in his S14 and out ran the cops(good ol SR20 ), any ways, most of us bolted too, but the chicks who were standing in the middel got charged with being a part of wrecklace driving and criminal neglagence. They stayed 2 days in jail and had a $300 bail, all for standing in a parking lot and have some guy in a car do doughnuts.
