OH GAWD u guys wont belive what happened this weekend!!, COPS BUST STREET RACING AND IM AN INNOCENT BYSTANDER Options

whats up guys... Well i was minding my own business (ok so i was watching street racing earlier) but we were all in the parking lot and one cop pulls up behind this souped up corvette (that was racing) and a mustang. my friend gets out and asks the cop if everything is okay...he says give me a minute... i say uh oh... he's calling in backup...5 minutes later 2 more cops pull up, one of them is the one who chased everyone away from the racing spot. they start taking liscence plate numbers...including mine... I STARTED TO TALK S**T to the cop but they didnt ticket me for expired tags. and he was nice to me so i held my tounge... he asked me if i knew anything about the racing up the street and they would start taking cars if they saw us again... the whole time im lookin at him like i dont know what he's talking about (which i sorta did) but i wasnt over there at the time so now i cant watch anymore races! do you guys think my rights were violated? i need some opinions.

by the way sorry for the long post...just needed to vent.

Are you serious??? There is no right to race on the streets therefore you have no right to be a spectator of said race. Grow up. Go to a track.

first of all...im grown...second of all the track isnt open. its not the point that i was watching a street race earlier in the day. Its the fact that people that see some friends in the parking lot (not knowing what they were up to) gets plates written down. I understand the laws and what happens if i get caught out there...im not blind...and certaintly not stupid. i understand that youre innocent until proven guilty and if the officer had no idea who i was or where i came from. all he knew was that i had an import and sadly thats enough. oh and thanks for the well wishes from the well wishers... just a little post to get conversation going... no need for flaming

no your rights were not violated, and you should not talk **** to a cop regarless if he is nice to you or not.

actually i kinda enjoy it if im in the right...but if im wrong i keep my mouth closed. as seen above...
