I just picked up a 10 gal starter kit. I wanted to know if it's safe to add my tap water, add the fish, and with the fish add the conditioner? Or if there's anything else I should do beforehand.
What are some good beginner fish that ARENT boring goldfish? -------------------- |

I got piranhas.
You should cycle the tank first. Add hearty fish like goldfish in order to add ammonia so that bacteria can grow and feed off of it. The bacteria in combination with mechanical filtration (filter) and chemical filtration (carbon) will keep your tank healthy. nvm lol did read u already set it up This post has been edited by Celicaca: Nov 21, 2005 - 1:32 PM |
