NEW PICS AT THE BOTTOM
I have a silver Celica with silver rims and I want to know what color I should paint my calipers. I'm having trouble deciding between silver and blue. My rear drums will be painted black until I can get the GT rear setup and paint them the same color as the front brakes. What do you guys think? Here's a pic of my car: ![]() ![]() EDIT: The blue actually look better in my mind than in photoshop. It'll actually be a darker blue. I painted the calipers on my friend's black tC and it came out real nice. I just don't know if it will on a silver car. VHT BRAKE CALIPER DRUM ROTOR PAINT is the sh!t. The first pic isn't photoshopped. I painted my driver's side caliper to see how it'd look and it came out real good. I used VHT red for my brother's tC. Came out awesome. Used VHT blue for my friend's tC. Awesome. And it came out awesome on mine too. They sell it at Autozone. Advance Auto only sold the Dupli-Color high-heat temp that Dustin was talking about. That's real good too tho. It's all the same crap tho. I mean, the only thing that changes is the temperature resistance. The Dupli-Color does like up to 1500°F, I think. The VHT I think is like 900°F. I just use the VHT because it's more specific to the calipers. But it's all the same crap. In reality, the dupli-color is probably better. I did like 3 coats of the base color and then like 3 coats of clear.
The Silver I used is to the left and the blue that the brakes would be is on the right. I'm really undecided about which one to go with so I'm waiting till tomorow to see how many votes there are and I'll paint it whatever color wins. Anyone have pics of silver celicas with blue calipers???
