so i only had my kyb for like half a year and i blew them out already. Well, i did hit this bridge pretty hard (hard enough that i got my front wheels in the air) then i hit this pothole. then it started to act up.
the front right wheel makes this weird poping noise, like the sound of a flat tire, whenever i come to a stop, when i start from a full stop, and under heavy acceleration. i first thought this was a control arm or bearings or something of that sort but i guess not. so, i'm gonna get toyota struts with my sportlines still in there. is that bad? i hear toyota struts are just as good as kyb. anywho, my car is causing quite some troubles lately and i'm not too happy. -------------------- PROJECT 6TH GEN

how much will instalation of both front and back struts with springs usually cost?
what i'm thinking is maybe, just maybe the whole installation was very expensive so he cut the pricing into two by making it look like the struts actually blew and they fixed. This post has been edited by Shigexile: Nov 27, 2005 - 8:52 PM -------------------- PROJECT 6TH GEN

Just do it yourself, its not that hard. Go to some Auto store and order some Monroe struts its ready to be fit right back in and you don't have to take out inserts and what not. Then get a spring compressor and compress your springs. Slap on the stock springs onto the monroe and hit the nearest alingment center. DIY=$250 $200 for the struts $50 for the alingment Compressor = free after u return them back to store - SHOP=$500 ----------------- u save $250 |
