My friend just got a 1990 Camry DX. I was looking at the engine, and it looks WAY to nice to be the original camry engine. Looks alot like my 1995 Celica GT motor. His motor has badgeing that says 2000 16 vaulve, and the exaust manifold comes out the front of the engine much like the 6gc. Anyone know if it was a stock motor or a swap, and if it is a swap, what motor it is? and give some BHP and TORQUE. thanks

5sfe, same as Celica GT. They put it in a bunch of cars. In 90 it had 130hp and something like 140ft/lbs of torque. Maybe I'm wrong though, I think the 5sfe is 2200. It could be a 3sfe. That motor is really similar to the 5sfe, just smaller displacement. They were put more into Camry's than anything else I think. If you could show a pic, lots of people could help.
