What a lovely way to spend a day - pulling the motor and box out of the 4
![]() Dropping the subframe... Subframe and exhaust removed... Driveshaft out... Engine and box just about ready to come out (loom was the worst part!) Part of the WRC version's antilag system... With the motor resting on 'supports', the car was hoisted upwards... Thanks to my mate for the use of his workshop ![]() My, what a big gap! Uses for Holden Ute wheels #24 Looking a bit sorry for itself right now  Next step is to start pulling the motor and box apart so the real fun can begin ![]() Gary This post has been edited by GT4WRC: Jan 17, 2006 - 1:17 AM -------------------- ![]() 1994 ST205 Celica GT-FOUR Group A WRC - running in new engine 1993 Rover 220 GTi tarmac rally car (under construction) 3SGE power here we come.... Rods were finished being shotpeened and polished last night along with the pistons, crank, flywheel and clutch cover, they went down to the engine balancer today.
Crank, flywheel and cover plate were loaded up and balanced to within a gnats whisker... The digital printout... ![]() The completed rods. All weighed and within 0.01g of each other... The lower end was then 'dummy' assembled to ensure that the deck height was okay. Within 1/100th mm from end to end. Just awaiting delivery of the new TRD main shells before the final build can begin.
