I've read posts on installing your own lowering springs and how much help it is to have air impact wrenches or, esp. when dealing with that nasty sway bar bolt in the rear. Basically, I am looking for wrench that I can use to take the lug nuts off the wheels and that can handle any bolts that I have to deal with when installing my own springs. What are the key specs I should look for (minimum Torque, drive size, RPM, etc)? Also, are there cordless, non-air impact wrenches that will work? Where is the best place to rent these items? Like Northern Tool or auto parts store? Thanks

a corded impact gun will probably be your best bang for the buck. they should do a good job at taking off lug nuts and stuff like that. ... just keep in mind that most air tools are no match for a nice large braker bar that you use by hand.

for my car, i wend to a hardware store and bought some thick piping in various sizes that can slip over a ratchet. they keep them in the plumbing dep and the piping is made out of iron (i think). with this setup, there isint anything on the car that i cant brake loose.

becarefull with impact guns. they are great for taking bolts off, but can totally strip your threads when you go to tighten a bolt that isint sitting 100% correct in the threads.
