Hi, well I am getting tired of my system and I am thinking of getting JBL BP1200.1 AMP and Power Acoustik mofo-12 sub. So here are some questions to people who have them big systems in their celi's.
1) What do u think of mofo-12 I mean its a pertty cheap sub for 1200Watt RMS and 180$, is it reliable.
2) For ppl with crazy sytems, as of now I am running 5 gauge power to my car and I am thining of upgrading to 1 or 0 gauge so that I can use all juice from the alternator. I am thinking that I can easily run about 700Watt RMS throgh stock electrical without any additional batteries. Am I right on that or will my alternator die really fast?
3) What Db's do you think I'll get if I use 2.3sq/ft ported box?
Thank you
P.S. Lol I am going crazy with this subwoofer ****, I'll prolly get mad tickets this summer for a loud system smile.gif lol

how would a cap help with small gauge wiring?

if you are going to be running a system with that much power, you would definitely look at getting 1/0 gauge wire, or at least 2 gauge.. 4 gauge may suffice. if you use your 5 gauge, it wont limit the amount of power you can run, it'll just get really hot, and melt.

how loud your system is will depend on box quality, also where you tune your box to, what frequency. also depends on the car itself, and placement in the car.
