Well, I got myself a great deal on st202 cluster and now I am scretching my head how to make it work. I have same issues as the other guy had with st205 cluster. So guys, I need help in rewiring my old plugs to work with my new cluster. Can anyone post diagrams for it.

im the guy wit the st205 cluster. lol. i have an 1994 at200(obd1) and the st205 was from an obd2. so i cant imagine yours being too difficult since both clusters are from the obd2 system(correct me if wrong). its a good idea if you take out ur cluster and take a look at the back of it(circuits) and compare it to the new one just to see wut ure dealing with and to get an idea of what you have to do. i dunno how electronically knowledgable you are but you'll see that theres 3 plugs behind each cluster. each wire from the plug on the circuit goes to a light or whatever. you can either follow each of those and write what each one does and what light it goes to. OR you can try swapping them directly since the ss3 doesnt have a turbo gauge or anything and is close to ours. so just plug the 3 connectors from your car str8 into the new cluster and see if it works that way(check all your lights and everything. ie. turn signals, high beams, whatever) OR you can try finding the correct wire diagram(i dont know if there was only a jdm ss3 or if they had euro versions and australians. cuz the st205 had 3 versions of the cluster(japan, europe, and australia...dont know why). so it was a pain for me to do the wiring cuz i wasnt sure wich one i had. AND/OR you can contact wannabegt4(Justin) and he'll help you out and not leave you hanging. a lot of people on here are sooo busy with their own things and cant take an hour out of their day to help a fellow 6gc member out with something simple(like my damn horn! lol). so if you can get a wiring diagram of the combometer/cluster/whatever, then it makes things 10 times easier. if not, then i suggest you check out celicatech.com's bgb, i dunno if they'll have one for the ss3, but u can check.
if you can give wannabegt4 a pic like this: http://www.6gc.net/forums/index.php?showto...l=st205+cluster im sure he can tell you wat connects to what. im pretty sure the at200(celica st) is the same as the usdm gt cluster(yours). but im not 100% sure. just to be safe, you should take a pic of each cluster like the one in the thread and label it just like i did and let wannabe take a look at em. but the first thing i'd do is plug them directly without cutting anything to see if it'd work. lemme know if you need any help with anything. later. -------------------- ![]() |
