Ok, they're selling a 6GCelica GT-4 about 4 hours from my house. I think the guy I talked to wants $19,000. The thing is, I looove my car. It's my first car, it looks real clean, real nice. My plans were to keep this car for as long as I could and hook it up since I don't have monthly payments on the car and bla bla bla. I love it, it's reliable. it looks awesome. I always get compliments. My plan was to turbo the 7A since I didn't want to get a 4AGZE or 3SGTE because if anything happens, the 7A here is in A LOT of cars. lol. So I can find parts easy. I've just grown extremely close to my car. The only thing I never liked about it is that it's a coupe. Believe it or not, coupes looks hot in person but in pics, they look ugly, imo. the only reason i liked the celi is cuz me myself used to confuse em with supras before i knew anything about cars.a long time ago. so i can drive the 4 hours, check the car out. i'll be the only one in florida with a true st205. and i think the 3rd in the country. but man. lol. 19,000. i know its worth it. the car is rare as hell anywhere and its fast and sexy and everything. but it'd have to make monthly payments and for 19,000 i always think damn i can get a brand new car wit that. the gt4 only has like 37000 mi tho so thats not too bad at all. or i can turbo the 7a. i know doggy has put down like 200hp or sumthin around there and other people have also. honestly, i know no matter what car i have, someone will be faster and im not trying to be the fastest. im happy with 200 reliable hp. while i have the turbo on the 7a, im going to be building another 7a, maybe hybrid. and putting the super 60 on that to have a 7agte. my question is, what is the maximum amount of hp that you have ever seen on a 7afe. remember, FE. lol. ive seen the turbo 20v 7a. think it had like 300 or sumthin. but im talkin factory 7afe with upgraded internals, the whole enchilada, excellently tuned turbo setup. whats the max hp that i can achieve from a 7afe without blowing it up. lol. ive heard a 3s can have up to like 500hp. ive searched and searched but didnt find anything. maybe im not phrasing the question right. but i just wanna know. this'll help my decision a little more. thanks.
edit: maybe the question should be, how much hp can the 7a block hold before it starts to fall apart? lol This post has been edited by JoKeRkId613: Dec 7, 2005 - 10:51 PM -------------------- ![]() |

QUOTE(Hanyo @ Dec 8, 2005 - 1:41 AM) a true gt4 will beat the junk out of a fwd celica. QUOTE(95CelicaST @ Dec 8, 2005 - 3:04 AM) A GT-4 would spank almost any turbo Celica, be it a GT or an ST, because its got the AWD A swapped FWD Celica would beat a GT-Four in a strait line. A GT-Four would beat any Celica in a curvy track or rally stlye race. I would buy a GT-Four whatever it takes if I had the opportunity. -------------------- |

I would buy a GT-Four whatever it takes if I had the opportunity. Quite the opposite in fact. Even though the FF Celica would be lighter... traction issues alone ensures the AWD win. Think about it... you gotta have the right set-up and the right technique to even touch the low 14's to high 13's mark at 12-15psi but with a stock 3SGTE (CT26 or CT20b)... versus a stock ST205... the AWD can match FF even with the extra weight. A good stock comparison would be the Eclipse GS-T versus the Eclipse GSX. The GSX is faster because of traction off the line alone... even though both cars have the same power and the FF car has the weight advantage. On the track... it's up to the driver... but I'd argue the ST205 is a good track car... but isn't the most agile. I got a lot of heat for saying this in the past... but I would still say the ST205's weight will hurt it on a tight curvy track more than an FF car... and since the FF car has the same engine with potentially the same power... it'll only have more power to the ground. These cars are driven very differently on the track... but weight matters more on a track than the drivetrain set-up especially when the cars make around the same amount of power. *edited to be more clear. I was thinking two things and once and it came out wrong...;] This post has been edited by Kwanza26: Dec 9, 2005 - 1:23 AM -------------------- "It's ok to be naked girl... I'm an artist!"
