alright: Looking to shut up my antena motor for good I figured an easy way would be to cut the wire from the back of my radio in the dash. So i took my wiring diagram and cut the really skinny black/red wire, labeled in my diagram as "Antenna Trigger". I turned the car on and of course i can still hear the damn antena motor humming as if my stock antena was still there. I've decided to get into the trunk and sever the connection there, but for now, I'd like to know what the hell i just cut, and if i should be worried about re-connecting it.
thanks, Shawn |

Why didn't you just unplug the connector at the antenna motor? It is fast and easy, and more importantly reversable. Now your dealing with a cut wire that can be hot. So you have to worry about an electrical fire, or shorting out your car. |
