I got the button to work but only when the key is in the ignition and turned to the ON position. Is there a way to wire it so that I don't the key at all? Also, how do I shut the engine off without using the key?

putting switches to the acc wires and such would be relativly easy. Also I would suggest removing the ignition cylinder completely for killing the wheel lock. When I was tearing apart my parts car I briefly looked how it all worked. I still haven't taken it out but I will once it gets warmer.
Feasible, yes. Do-able, I would say yes. Worth it, that's up to you. If you are good at taking things apart and wiring secure safe switches, then go for it. QUOTE(djultimate @ Dec 16, 2005 - 2:21 AM) this is gonna take alot of rewiring because the alarm is tapped into the ignition and starter wires and there is a relay in the mix as well. Not to mention the relay that the push button uses itself. I'm confused replacing the key with switches would have noting to do with the alarm or any of it's wiring. It would work just as it does now, but without any key to turn, just a switch or 2 to flip. -------------------- |
