 slow 7afte, need help |

why is my 7afte not making enough power at the top? i just finished the break in period after rebuilding the engine. when I floored the accelerator the rpm raise quickly and accelerates fast but when it reach 5000 rpm it doesnt accelerate fast enough you can see the tachometer needle slowing upto 6000rpm and the car slows downs. it seems the car doesnt have top end power. what could be wrong with my car? Ive already change my exhaust pipe to 2.5 inches

what turbo are you using?
edit: not sure about on the 7afe specifically, but i know that on the 5sfe, the bad economical design of the fe head just does not make power up top. so if the 7afe is the same, then your problem is the actual design of the head. This post has been edited by ummmx2: Dec 21, 2005 - 11:34 PM |
