I got the button to work but only when the key is in the ignition and turned to the ON position. Is there a way to wire it so that I don't the key at all? Also, how do I shut the engine off without using the key?

ya a firm steady jerk should break the lock but i strongly advise to just take apart the key cylinder. also i just thought of a slicker way of turning on the ignition and accesorry rather than a toggle switch. wire up a relay so that when you turn on your parking lights your ignition turns on and hide the switch somewhere else just in case you waiting for someone and want to listen to the radio. or you can have it kind of a circumstantial type of thing that way the car will shut off as soon as you open the door to leave and headlights/parking lights turn off anyway. if the parking lights are on and the doors are closed your ignition will stay on. let me know if any of these ideas interest you and i'll tell you how to wire it up.
