Hey guys I was wondering what type and socket size do I need to remove the valve cover because I will be painting it this weekend. will I need a new gasket when I put it back on

no you don't need too ... but since your in the area it a good time to change them out for new ones.. and also get new clips for the vacum lines .. new head gasket seal



umm what ? lol no need to pull the head...i think you mean valve cover gasket?


taking the valve cover off is VERY easy. all you have to do it take out your plug wires. unbolt the 4 huge 30m nuts that hold the valve cover on and take it right off. then, get a new valve cover gasket to put back on there and clean up or paint the valve cover if you want. you dont need to remove the spark plugs if u dont want to, but like mac said, its a good time to change them sine you are there anyway
