I'm looking at buying 18"s rims, but Im worried about what sort of things I should be wary of. What is the driveability of 18"s like? Is safety an issue, ie. the lack of sidewall, expense and availability of decent tyres. Also, ride quality, will I really feel every bump in the road, etc? Am i better of going 17"s?

Just gotta be careful with potholes. I would def. not recommend the 35mm tires as I hate mine.

yea 35mm is really annoying.

if you go for 40mm your overall diameter will be bigger and your speedometer will be off.
