There was another post like this one, but not really.
My car was doing just fine when I was driving, then all of a sudden at the light, my rpms dropped, and the car turned off. I turned it back on, and kinda stepped on it so that the rpms wouldnt drop, but then it started jerking, every couple of seconds, then it was ok until I got home and was parking then the rpms dropped again, and now my car doesnt want to start at all. Could it be my fuel filter or something? This post has been edited by celicaGT96: Dec 26, 2005 - 4:53 PM |

QUOTE(soulshadow @ Dec 27, 2005 - 11:20 AM) That fuel filter is a Bitc* you will need some flare nut wrenches *Metric* type or was it Standards?? Anyways you will also need a wrench to hold the top bolt and loosen the bottom bolt with the flare wrench. Than take a screwdriver or some type of flat metal and pry the two wrencehs . Thats the only way to do it and when you tighten it you must use both hands and turn in the opposite way in order to tighten it enough not to leak gas. I attempted it like 5 times and finally got it out on the 6. Make sure you spray some WD-40 on the bolts to make the job eaiser too. So does that mean that mines is fine?? How much did your bottom bolt screw in before it wouldnt go anymore? I have like a big gap and it doesnt want to go anymore, and I was thinking, they just gave me a bad filter ![]() so did you really have to force it on, I already called the parts store and they said they would have more by thursday, and I really dont want to wait that long, so Im wondering if theyre all like that? |
