im installing speakers in the front and cant seem to figure out how to remove the door panal. i took off all the screws but since i dont have power windows, i have no clue how to remove the knob that rolls the window down. its the only thing that keeps the panal attached to the door.

QUOTE(ekstasis @ Dec 28, 2005 - 11:43 AM) im installing speakers in the front and cant seem to figure out how to remove the door panal. i took off all the screws but since i dont have power windows, i have no clue how to remove the knob that rolls the window down. its the only thing that keeps the panal attached to the door. I don't know if it's the same for Toyotas but american cars use a little omega-shaped clip that holds the handle in place. They sell tools that remove this, but you may be able to construct something yourself. You might be able to get in there with a flat-head screwdriver and push the clip out but be very careful as it tends to fly. |
