Fuel Pump / Distributer, What you think? Options

This morning when I set off for Morgantown, my car wouldn't start. I kind of had a little freak out, then I missed with it and fiddled with the gas untill I got it started. After I got it to start I had to keep hitting the gas to keep it from quitting. I didn't enjoy that because I know it's bad to rev a cold engine. After that start and warm up, it's ran fine. When I got home, I let the car sit for several hours while I unpacked and aranged my house, then when I go to start it up agian to get something to eat it starts fine. I still think something is wrong. I figure fuel pump or distributer. I know the distributers go out a good bit on these things. I've changed my plugs and fuel filter, so I know they aren't the problem. So were exactly is the fuel pump on a 94 GT? And what do you all think about what could be wrong? Thanks.

I'm just going to switch out the intire disstibuter assimbly. I was leaning more twords it anyway. The thing that makes me think it was the fuel pump was because when I gave it more gas it finally started. The car has acted like this a little before. It'll start but it acts like it doesn't want to run, the rmps will stay low and I have to push on the gas. I thought it could have been a vacum leak that was causing a choke system to not work. That hasn't come up with anyone I've talked to though.

I'd try replacing just the cap and rotor first. No need to throw the baby out with the bath water. Maybe the plug wires too. If the insulators are shot and water gets in there you'll have the same problem.
