Yeh ok I have fallen victim to the freshman 15, to those of you who dont know what it is, its the extra 15lbs you gain during your first year of college. mines from tons of beer and being a lazy ass but thats done I am out of school for a semester and I want to get skinny again. I've never had to really work out before so what should I do to drop my spare tire. I dont want to give up beer thats for sure. Which is better Running or Sit ups? what do you guys do?

QUOTE(Redline_Racer @ Jan 7, 2006 - 12:24 AM) I dont want to give up beer thats for sure. Alcohol has 7 Kcalories per gram, and Fat has 9 Kcalories per gram. You’re almost drinking fat. Both Carbs and Proteins have less than half of that per gram. Alcohol also makes fat gather more at the stomach area for some reason. I can't remember exactly why it does that, but it really does. You will continue to loose your ability to digest food and process it so you won't accumulate so much body fat. If you’re a young freshman, you need to be in the best shape you can because it's going to get harder and harder as you age. Running is best for burning calories. Any high level exercise that lasts more than 20 min is good. But it's hard to workout when you’re dehydrated and poisoned from alcohol. -------------------- Live Free, Be Happy
