I'm overhauling my car. I was wondering if any of you guys knew of a way to support the car for a long period of time. I was thinking 4 Jackstands, but I'm not sure if this is right for the frame or not.
I need to remove the wheels and suspenion for a long period of time. Whats the best way to support the car till everything is installed ? Thanks, DEF -------------------- ![]() I will return one day. |

QUOTE(soulshadow @ Jan 5, 2006 - 10:55 PM) You'll be fine, just make sure that you get yourself a hydralic jack that you can support the frame up with just in case when you go down and get dirty underneath. I never trust the jackstands when im under it. I always make sure that I have something when I need to make a clean escape if the car ever falls.... a hydrolic jack will drop a car very easily.....as it can raise and lower and sway back and forth jackstands are a FIXED heavy duty support that is THE #1 safest way to hold your car in the air This post has been edited by presure2: Jan 10, 2006 - 7:14 AM |
