Im going to get some foglights for my celica, but i cant decide between white or yellow.
Im leaning towards a set of Raybrig R1300 yellows, (it even comes with a wireless switch), but the PIAAs look cool too.

its my understanding that fog lights are diffrent in two ways. First off is the pattern of the beam which is normally wider then that you would find in a driving light.

Second is its color. From what ive been told by teaches back in HS, driving schools and other automotive places is that the color yellow in the light spectum tends to bounce back less when put through water droplets. It has something to do with its frequency or something and/or how human eyes pick it up.

Yeah, that's why it was said in an earlier post that yellow is better for fog visibility and stuff than white. The wavelength of yellow is better for penetrating the moisture. The white may look better and seem brighter at night but for true foglight usage in dust, fog, etc the yellow is a much better choice.

Just don't get "driving" lights, make sure they're actual foglights. They're not namebrand, but Wal-mart carries a set of small round yellow fogs for $14.99. I put them on my Prelude and actually liked them better than any of the other fogs I've had on cars.
