i have a buddy who has an engine out of an MR2 i havent found out all the details yet but as soon as i do i will post them. do u guys think the swap will work with my celi? the MR2 motor is also a 4 cy 2.2 l same as my 5sfe. has anyone done this? also if you do an engine swap do u have to have the car inspected or does it have to pass any test? i

it should be the same thing because 5sfe also comes in the camry's too...i don't think you'll have a problem with the 5sfe swap as long as your celi is a gt because my mom's 94 camry died and my dad went and got a 5sfe engine(don't know if it's celi, mr2, or camry) from the junk yard and put it in without doing any paper work...
...you might have some problems with the harness and intake tube though...unless you use your old ones...
