back in 1952, back in mother Russia, I talked down to a russian conscript and Stalin threw me into a Gulag for 15 years. It was back breaking work that required determination, strength, and a will just to survive. I saw comrads that were once very wealthy business men reduced to eating the scraps off of others bowls. What did they serve us? Well, in the good seasons we had this oatmeal you speak of. We called it Spoosh, but it was the only food that would keep us warm and sane in the sub temperatures of Siberia. I made it out and even tho I could be eating these hamburgers and the french fries you Americans speak of, I still long for that Spoosh for some reason...
