They've been putting bodykits on trucks for a long time. I use to see more bodykits on trucks than anything else. My dad's buddy has one on his dualy. He uses it for pulling a cattle trailer.
EDIT: I also do not see what's wrong with the van. And just for the thought, I put a Ford truck emblem on my old Geo Storm just to mess with people. I thought it was funny when people would walk by the car and then take a double take with a confused look on their faces. I had a guy ask me, "Is that the new Probe or something?" It amused me.
