I am considering selling my turbo and downpipe, oil lines, etc... but I am not sure how to evaluate the state of the turbo.
What steps should I do to describe it. How do i judge shaft play - what other aspects help describe it's state? Thanks, Ben |

put 2 fingers on the turbo. check if it moves in/out and side to side, check if the blades are spining freely and if there are any marks on the housing that look as if the blades were scraping at all.
its ok to have a little bit of shaftplay, but not too much. there is more specific info in the bgb about how to really measure it if you want -------------------- 15PSI - 30MPG - Megasquirt Tuned
