How much horse power would you get if you put a 3sgte in a 96' Celica GT?

Tell me everything you know about it

depends what generation of celica that you get. 6th gen 3sgte engines are hard to find and expensive to import. 5th and 4th gen 3sgte's are pretty easy to find if you go to www.ebaymotors.com and search for toyota celica in the parts and accesories section. A 5th gen engine will get you around 200 hp with stock turbos at normal boost. I think like 10psi or something. Obviously it can get higher boost. You will also need an intercooler and possibly bigger fuel injectors. Like 540cc injectors would be fine. Other companies like HKS or greddy make aftermarket turbo kits for the 3sgte and those will obviously get you more power. Cuz they're better turbos, piping, cooling, etc. So with the right combination you could get 400+hp out of that engine. One thing though, your stock transmission in your front wheel drive celica might not be able to handle all the power for a while. Keep in mind that your transmission is probably made to handle 200 hp max. I'm not totally sure what it is made to handle but its probably around there. So you should get yourself a transmission from a all trac celica and put it in your car. Maybe even covert it to all wheel drive like neverstop did. If you got the money. 6-8 thousand to give it a guess.
