You need to tear down the transmition for what I'm thinking off. Well, maybe not break it down, but at least open it. You can resize certan holes to increase pressure to handle higher hp and torque, and decrease time between shifts. I know desiel guys are doing this. Is that what you talking about? Or are you talking about the drag style flip lever that you just press forward or back to go up a gear? I don't know how you would mount that in a Celica, but I'm sure there's a way. This would be a nice thing to have for you auto guys. I probably would have tried to make one by now if I had an auto.
EDIT: This belongs in regular engine discussion. There's no turbo on your car, and even if there was, it's still the stock GT transmition. Isn't it? This post has been edited by Bigmeanbulldog55: Jan 14, 2006 - 4:00 PM -------------------- Live Free, Be Happy

IPT is the only source I've found for modified valve bodies, performance torque converters, upgraded rebuild kits and manual controllers. They're not cheap however. -------------------- ![]() Project ST204.5 99.88946% complete... |
