I know this has been asked before but I've looked and can't seem to find it.
What body kits will fit on coupes? Is there any difference between coupes and convertibles??? Thanks for the help! ![]() |

It cost me about $2,500 for the kit and install. I did all of this almost 4 years ago. The kit was $1,000 shipped. Paint was $600 for just the kit. The side skits fit fine. The front and rear bumpers had to be adjusted. The front of the bumper where the hood closes was not smooth and I could not close the hood all the way. The hood would latch into place but I could not push it all the way down. The new front bumper also did not line up with the head lights properly. In order for them to fix all the problems they ended up cutting off the top of the front bumper just under the head lights. They made a mold of my factory front bumper from under the head lights all the way to the hood. After the copy was done they graphed the two pieces together. Once they were finish it look like it came from the factory that way. The rear bumper was two inches short on each side where it was suppose to wrap around to the wheel wells. The gap where the bumper meets the factory body also did not fit (right under the licence plate). They used the same process they use on the front bumper in order to make the rear fit. The person who owned the shop and worked on my car use to build the bodies for F1 cars. They hadn't been open that long when I brought my car in to be worked on, so he gave me a good deal on all the body work. All the work they had to do on my front and rear bumpers was about $900. I was going to have the them make a mold of my rear bumper for me so if I ever need another copy of my rear bumper I would only have to find a body shop that could lay down the fiber glass. But the owner ended up selling his business and moving back to his home country before I could get him to do it. When you buy a kit the front should fit for the most part without any problems. I just wanted them to hurry so I didn't try to send it back for a new one. I'm still trying to find someone to make a mold of my rear bumper so if anyone knows a person that can do it let me know.
If you have anymore questions please let me know. If some of this does not make that much sense sorry, I was in a hurry. Daniel -------------------- Black 1996 Celica GT Convertible For Sale
