I was always curious of how to tell if the MR2 tranny was LSD(meaning the tranny is out of engine bay not connected to motor)? I was told that if you look though the axel hole, there should be a bar going across, but if a bar runs across the axle hole then how would the axle go in? Some body who knows please post...

Actually it's vise-versa. If you pull the axle and look in there, and there is a pin (the diff pin) visible, then you do NOT have LSD, it's an open diff. If there is no pin, then it's a Helical LSD. The pin is deep in there, it doesn't interfere with the axle going in. -Doc -------------------- -Dr Tweak, 6GC's resident engine swap wiring expert extraordinaire Click here to see my swaps drtweak@phoenixtuning.com |
