i went to see a doctor today. he seemed like he was doing everything he could think of to make me not want to be his patient. he was saying how i should see somone local for this operation that i want to have, because of all these things that can go wrong, and all the pain i would be in ,etc and how the operation might not help me at all ... when i know all too well that this place is known for taking patients with the same symptoms, in from all over the world for this surgery. his officed is used to dealing with patients from as far away as austraila. ....
then i realized that he is not in my insurace network, so that it would be a major pain in the ass to get my insurace to pay him. knowing how doctors treated me when i didnt have any insurance, im starting to think that maybe this is why he was so quick to turn me away. i used to go to my family doctor, and the 1st words out of his mouth would be "oh you dont have insurace". i always thought that they treated eveyone the same regardless of insurance, but i dont now. -------------------- 15PSI - 30MPG - Megasquirt Tuned

well, as my mom being a doctor, i know how they operate. When they take care of a patient with no insurance its basically like they are doing it for free, yes they can bill you but ALOT of people dont pay. With insurance, the doctors are gaurenteed the money, so they can take care of you. And when you really think of it put it like this,
If I were to tell you if you mow my lawn, maybe i'll pay you next week, or the week after. And then my neighbor across the street says if you mow my lawn i'll pay you $50 right now. Who would you mow the lawn for? So its not that they dont want to take care of you, they want to get paid, which 2 me is completly understandable. -------------------- To live, is to suffer
