In the original serious he showed up twice; once to deliver Han Solo to Vader, and the second to die in the sand pit monster thing. At least in the prequals he showed some pistol skills, but that was well after his fame from the first 3 films. Taking only the first 3 films into account, the most bad azz character is Vader, followed by Han Solo.
