what basically is the problem when your engine light appears on your dash? mine is weird, it turns off and on bi-weekly. one week its off one week its on again (usually turns on after my dad uses it to run to the store, it has happened 3 times "coincidence?", but he drives with caution, so it cant be him). maybe my car has feelings whenever someone else uses it other then me..lol..?. its been doin this for the past month and a few. just changed oil and havent done anything else to it. other then the engine light problem it seems to run fine. any clues on what is causing this..

you might wanna check if you got a check engine light code, and if my check engine light was on i wouldn't drive it before i figured out what's wrong
