Ok here is the situation, I have a 96 gt manual. I have a brand new radiator brand new belts and new hoses. I flushed the cooling system, I installed a new thermostat and I replaced all 3 fan relays and replaced all of the fuses in my car. Now the problem, when I drive my car the fans do not want to work. The temp gauge in my car says that the coolant temp is normal but i will drive for like 3 miles and one of the fans should kick in by then right? Anywaz when I turn the ac on both of the fans kick in for a little while but then turn back off. I drove my car and the radiator isn't steaming or nothing but I am a little concerned. There aren't any coolant leaks and other then the super hot radiator the engine runs like a champ. no knocking no wierd idle everything seems ok. I have had this problem before but it was only my thermostat, but I just installed the new one bout a month ago.Any help would be appreciated.

sounds like a bad coolant temp switch.
to check it, start the car, and disconnect the plug (its the one in the lower right corner of the radiator. if the fans dont come on, check the fan main relay, cooling fan relay, the fuses, and check the wiring from the cooling fan relay and ect switch. if it does, get a thermometer, take off the radiator cap, and stick the thermom. in there. warm the car up till the thermometer reads 200 or so degrees. if the fan dont come on, the temp switch is bad. -------------------- Former Team 5SFTE pro member ;)
