Anybody who has changed their colors, what problems did you have? Did you paint under the trunk, hood, door jams, door inners, engine bay?

As a past worker in a paint shop, I can tell you, it's harder than you think. You think, "Oh, it's just a couple more things." But it's not just a couple more things. On the Celica you have to worry about the truck and seals all around it. You have to take absolutely everything off, including doors. Masking and sand are a pain. It's easy to get the flat stuff, but when you start into the little holes needed for color change, it's a pain. It's more than twice the work of an all over same color. My dad always says, "If you don't like the color, don't buy it." It is however possable, and with the right devotement, it can look very nice. The problem is, most do it haff way. This looks bad, and causes the paint to peal and chip and look horrable. The paint jobs my dad and I do last just as long or longer than factory paint. We do it right, and we use high quality materials.
